Nowadays, we hear most passengers complaining about poor services, unhygienic corners, rude co-passengers, train delays, bad-quality food, and more. With time, services have drastically dropped in quality. A Redditor recently complained about the food they received while travelling on a train.

Taking to Reddit, u/Embarrassed_Knee_630 shared their experience of placing an order for dal, chicken, and other dishes on a train.

Though the name of the train and information about the journey have not been disclosed in the post, the Netizen shared about the incident on indianrailways indicating the journey was covered domestically. Looks like the Redditor ordered a Chicken Thali as the plate had dal, chicken, rice, roti, curd, and more. Calling it a new low, they called the dal abysmal and stated how a huge amount of dal was added to it.
Slamming the miserable food quality, they posted, “The food quality was not like 5-star before but this is a new low.” Redditor also asked, “How do they even make such abysmal dal and chicken? Just give us water then! Why put the extra effort of putting dal in water?”
Unfortunately, tasteless or bad-quality food on trains has become a common issue and many passengers face this problem every single day. They also post on social media slamming concerned departments and stating how qualities have dropped significantly. In fact, travellers on Rajdhani Food Express and Vande Bharat Express received low-quality meals many times. Some of them shared their reviews on social media too.
Netizens Provide Solution To This Major Problem
Redditors have shared a few simple alternatives and recommendations to avoid ordering food from the pantry while travelling on trains. There are over 50 comments under this Reddit post with Netizens suggesting several places to order food from. One of the most common suggestions is placing orders via the Food on Track app. Zomato looks like a favourite platform for these instances. Another common response is ordering from Domino’s. Lastly, the address to get the yummiest, cleanest, and healthiest food is to cook and pack ghar ka khaana.
