Returning To Earth In Late Aug, Sultan AlNeyadi Reveals The Challenges He Might Face When Back!

Sultan AlNeyadi made history by becoming the first Emirati astronaut to stay in space for an extended period. He is currently living at the International Space Station, the orbiting laboratory for the last six months, and his expedition aboard will come to an end this month. While living on the space station comes with its own set of challenges, it’s going to be quite difficult to adjust to Earth’s environment when he returns. Here’s what he had to say during his recent interaction with students.

Sultan AlNeyadi Reveals The Challenges He Will Face On His Return

In a recent interaction, Sultan AlNeyadi revealed that when he returns to earth, he will encounter several challenges. Talking about this, Khaleej Times in its report mentioned that he will have to adapt himself to walking and life in general once again. The report quoted the Emirati astronaut saying that generally, it takes about two weeks of training to readjust to life on Earth. As it happens, scientific experiments and physical exercises are conducted during this time in order for the astronaut to return to a normal state.

A Brief Glimpse Of His Time At The ISS

During his stint at the International Space Station, he also revealed how he missed his mother’s home-cooked meals. While he did have access to traditional Emirati nibbles like dates and honey, nothing could have taken the space that his mother’s home-cooked meals have in his heart. Besides talking about his journey at the International Space Station, Sultan AlNeyadi has constantly kept his followers on Twitter updated with regular posts. He is seen posting pictures of cities from the International Space Station that look absolutely awe-inspiring. One such image that he posted recently was that of the city of Damascus, which looks absolutely stunning from space!
