Review: Burn it Up at Burn Gym!

Experience the Gym

In my quest to try out different gyms and studios, I recently visited one of the newly opened fitness centre in Chembur, Mumbai called the “Burn Gym”. Let’s tell you if its worth your time and money!

Burn Gym

What is it?

Started by Duo Inderjit and Deepali Singh, the first generation entrepreneurs who after their MBA, quit their corporate jobs to follow their dreams. Burn Gym is an attempt to make it big in the fitness & wellness industry. Well lit, lively music and inspirational fitness videos are surely to keep you motivated for the time you spend in the gym.

Burn Gym

What’s in it?

The gym has brand new latest technology standardized machines, stability balls, medicine balls, mats, bare bars and jump ropes.

It also has its cardio machines in place which include the treadmill, spinning cycles & cross trainer. Rubber coated dumbbells (weights from 1kg- 50 Kgs), kettlebells, barbells, weight plates, resistance bands make it for a decent weights section at Burn.

We wish the gym had more space for functional and core exercises.

The Vibe

For those who work out regularly in the gym will agree that it is not all about the equipment it houses but the vibe it offers. The glass windows at Burn keep the gym bright in the day and lively by the night. The trainers are knowledgeable, friendly & approachable. Burn also has shower and steam.

One of the things worth mentioning is the serene spa next to the gym which mostly offers great deals.

Where is it?

The gym is a part of Emerald Club, at Swastik Park in Chembur, which provides many options like swimming, squash, badminton, skating, and billiards. The gym is open from 6 am till 11 pm.

Burn Gold, which is for Rs 18000 annually, includes Burn Silver along with three personal training sessions and four Spa therapies.

Burn Platinum would set you back by Rs 24000 annually but it lets you enjoy the spa 10 times in a year.
