Saudi Arabia Gets Its First All-Female Drive-Through Starbucks Store

All over the world, where girls are leading successful paths. Here is another example of girl power in today’s time. Alshaya Starbucks KSA has opened its first Drive-Thru shop run only by Saudi women in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. It is part of its continued commitment to increasing employment opportunities for Saudi women following the Kingdom’s 2030 vision. The new female-only Drive-Thru business is situated on Coast Road. 

Girl Power In Saudi Arabia 

Starbucks KSA wants to open many more Drive-Thru locations in Saudi Arabia over the next several years. However, a big step toward its goal of boosting the percentage of women in its workforce to 30 per cent by the end of 2022.

The cafe will continue to serve customers wonderful coffee as part of the Starbucks Experience. Partners will be responsible for all shop operations, customer service, day-to-day administration, and coffee brewing for consumers.

What’s the Saudi Vision 2030 

Starbucks KSA now employs 20 per cent of women and aims to increase this proportion to 30 per cent by the end of 2022. There are also plans to open additional Saudi female-operated drive-thru businesses in Saudi Arabia in the next years. So, we may see one in Riyadh or Jeddah. Therefore, we need to wait and see what unfolds for Saudi women. 

The launch of Starbucks KSA’s first Saudi female-operated drive-thru location in Eastern Province coincides with 2022’s designation as the Year of Saudi Coffee.
