Riyadh Metro is offering 50% discount on its tickets to some categories of passengers. This news was announced on Twitter by the X account of Riyadh Transport. It mentions how there are certain categories that are eligible for 50% discount on regular tickets. With the aim of reducing congestion in the high traffic zones of the city, this fantastic offer was introduced.

Who Is Eleigible For Discount?

The several categories of people who are eligible for the discount are as follows:

  • All students
  • People with disabilities (with one companion)
  • Senior citizens (six years and above)
  • First-degree relatives of martyrs
  • Cancer Patients (with one companion)

What Are The Price Of Tickets?

But what is the price of the ticket without a discount? Well, the ticket prices are as follows:

For the standard class

  • SAR4 for a two-hour pass
  • SAR20 for a three-day pass
  • SAR40 for a seven-day pass
  • SAR140 for a 30-day pass

For first class

  • SAR10 for a two-hour pass
  • SAR50 for a three-day pass
  • For a SAR100 seven-day pass
  • SAR350 for a 30-day pass

So, passengers can select their destination and purchase the tickets seamlessly through the Darb App. This is available for download in the mobile app store, and they can also purchase the passes at the station. They can also pay through the bank cards at the gates.
