Saudi Arabia is on a mission to attract tourists to the country. The nation is making continued efforts to be successful in doing so. And to aid this mission, Saudi Tourism Authority has collaborated with India Premier League. The board is planning to launch promotional tourism packages for Indians.

In order to capitalise on the robust sports fan bases in both nations and market the Kingdom as a top travel destination for Indian tourists, the Saudi Tourism Authority has struck a partnership arrangement with India’s most well-known cricket league. The inauguration of numerous VFS Tasheer Visa offices in Saudi Arabia has also been confirmed for the end of May. These offices will act as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs authorised visa partners. It is offering applicants quick and safe bureaucratic visa services.

The authority and the Indian Premier League signed a cricket collaboration on Tuesday night with the intention of boosting the Kingdom’s attractiveness in the country of South Asia. The STA will serve as an official sponsor of the IPL, a men’s Twenty20 team and the most popular cricket league in the world.

STA’s efforts are focused on fostering relationships with Indian industry stakeholders. Meanwhile, India has grown over the past two years as Saudi Arabia’s primary source market for tourists and is anticipated to overtake it by 2030.

In an effort to draw more tourists, the kingdom has recently introduced the Stopover Visa, which enables Indian passengers flying with SAUDIA to stay in the country for up to 96 hours and receive a free hotel night. This action underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to growing its tourist industry and establishing itself as the new frontier in leisure travel, along with collaborations with airlines, top tour operators, and the Indian Premier League.

The Kingdom became an affiliate member of the International Cricket Council in 2003. In 2016 the country achieved associate membership.
