Hugh Abroad, a Scottish man, recently visited Putiram in Kolkata. Taking to his Instagram handle, the travel influencer documented his food experience at the iconic sweet shop. What surprises him most about the dessert is that it costs just ₹30 or $0.35. “It’s a lot thicker than I expected,” he remarks as he eats the first spoonful of the chilled yoghurt. It’s love at first bite for Hugh, who described it to be “so good.” Hugh exclaimed, “It is lumpy, but the taste is fantastic!” The Scottish man called it “rich” and very “creamy.” Hugh explained Mishti Doi to be a toffee-flavoured yoghurt. And that description is spot on!
