The Sharjah Municipality has updated rules in the emirates. It has now ordered all food outlets in the city to stop providing services to customers who ask for food in the car. The authorities have taken this decision based on complaints received from the public and neighbouring residents. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

Sharjah Municipality Has Issued Notice To All The Eateries In The Emirate
The municipality wants to organise the process of providing service to customers at parking spaces in a regulated manner so that they manage the traffic while maintaining the appearance of the city. This order was issued by Sheikha Shaza Al Mualla, Assistant Director-General for the Public Health Sector and Central Laboratories, Food Control Section. And as per the order, the municipality has already issued a circular to all the eateries asking them to stop providing services to customers who wait in cars and bar traffic in designated parking spaces.

Strict Actions Will Be Taken For Those Violating The Rules And Norms
If found violating the rules, strict action and penalties would be imposed on the violators. There will be inspections daily to ensure that people are abiding by the guidelines. Inspectors will take action against the motorist who stops in the middle of the road and block traffic while waiting for food getting delivered to them.

As for the eateries, the municipality has already given a parking reservation service, which makes it easier for customers to park their vehicles according to set standards and requirements. And after this rule, when an eatery applies for a special parking permit, the inspector will be sent to study the area, and only then the facility will be approved reserve parking spaces.
