Happy International Women’s Day, you ladies! Let’s celebrate ourselves today, tomorrow and always. We are strong, independent and can achieve everything we want. And today to celebrate the power of being a woman, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has issued a special message to women. Sheikh Mohammed Congratulates Women On All Their Achievements 

Sheikh Mohammed has congratulated the UAE women on all their scientific, economic and social achievements. Well, besides this, he also congratulated all the mothers in the UAE. He congratulated them for their support that produced beautiful stories to be proud of. Speaking about women empowerment, Sheikh Mohammed also acknowledged the country’s vision to include women in the development journey from the beginning.

Speaking about women empowerment and jobs, in 2018, Sheikh Mohammed had said that 70 per cent of his team consists of women. In terms of rights and equality, the UAE, in recent years, has worked on the women’s rights reforms by passing new domestic violence protections, Human Right Watch, etc.

UAE Is The Number One Country In The World For Women’s Representation In The Parliament

Data as of 2015- states that women occupy 66 per cent of public sector jobs- one of the highest proportions worldwide. About 30 per cent occupy senior leadership positions associated with decision-making roles.

The UAE is the number 1 country in the world when it comes to women’s representation in parliament. Well, all these figures and data make us super proud of the UAE. And we only hope that there’s no moving backwards from here.
