Shreya Priyam Roy Talks About Her PG Days In Delhi, Love For Momo & More On Tere Gully Mein

In this episode of Tere Gully Mein, we explored the famous Momo Market of Delhi’s Yashwant Place with one of the leading female comedians of the Indian comedy scene, Shreya Priyam Roy. While we were at it, we spoke to her about her comedic journey, differences between Delhi and Patna, her dramatic PG stories and much more. Here’s how it went down.

Exploring Yashwant Place With Comedian Shreya Priyam Roy

Shreya Priyam Roy was born and raised in Patna. She came to Delhi for college and it has since become her home! She shared that she even tried momo for the first time in Delhi and while her initial experience with this famous street food wasn’t nice, she has since found some good places.

Talking about her growing up years in Patna, Shreya talked about how she would bunk coaching classes after school and go with her friends to eat street food. She remembers eating egg rolls, bhel puri, pav bhaji and more local street food while she was at it. When asked if she has found any good litti chokha places in Delhi, she shared that a few street-side eateries in Saket are her absolute favourites.

So, did her parents ever ask her to come back to Patna after she moved to Delhi? Well, it turns out they wanted her back home in the first year of college itself! Shreya Priyam Roy shared that she explored Delhi’s party scenes in the first year of college and after one such wild night, her PG people figured out that she had been partying a lot and was coming back home drunk. She reveals that her landlady was very dramatic, threatened to throw her out, and even called up her parents once she found out about her late-night drunk escapade!

First Seafood Experience

Shreya Priyam Roy also shared her first seafood experience while we were exploring the market. During her recent Goa trip, she had her first encounter with real seafood. She ordered a Goan thali and it was filled with dishes she had never eaten or even tried before. “Main khaa hi nahi payi. Thoda too much ho gaya tha mere lie. Mujhe uss din pata chala ki main sirf prawns hi khaa sakti hun,” she recalls
