Skyscanner launched an innovative new feature, Skyscanner DROPS, to allow travellers to get the best airfare deals with a click of a button. With a simple login into the Skyscanner app, users can discover new DROPS daily—highlighting flights from nearby airports that have recently decreased in price. Through the DROPS feature, Skyscanner puts users ahead of the game in getting the best deals.

To celebrate the launch of Skyscanner DROPS, the website analysed data from January 2025 to provide valuable insights:

• Friday registered the highest number of DROPS, thereby being the optimum day for budget flights.
• 38% of all DROPS were released prior to 9 AM, which confirms early birds catch the worm.
• Goa was the top local destination with the highest number of price falls, followed by Bangkok, Prayagraj, and Almaty.
• Tokyo also saved the most in terms of the average amount, with tourists saving up to ₹20,988 on flights.

The new DROPS feature means that travellers never have to miss out on amazing flight offers—be it an impromptu weekend getaway or a long-awaited vacation.’
