The talented actor and producer shed light on the plans for Tumbbad 2, his upbringing, and journey from a small-town boy to Bollywood’s most sought after talent. Since we are a beloved travel and food platform, he also revealed anecdotes about his first-ever international trip.
Sohum Shah Spoke About His 1st Ever International Trip
At Shree Thaker Bhojanalay, Sohum Shah and Kamiya Jani feasted on a massive thali rife with Gujarati and Rajasthani flavours. Shah, a massive foodie himself, tucked into his meal, and savoured every bite. Post the lavish thali, the actor revealed that earlier, foreign travel was considered equal to marriage or having considered. People would approach astrologers wanting to know if their destinies held opportunities for foreign travel.
He revealed that destiny played a very important role in his life as it led him to work on Ship of Theseus and Tumbbad. Since he spoke about international travel, Kamiya asked him about his first ever international trip. Shah revealed that he first travelled abroad in 2005 or 2006. The actor-producer landed in Malaysia and Singapore to film Ship of Theseus. Later, he travelled to Europe and called the experience “extremely amazing.” Stockholm, Sweden, was another place where he ticked off this wishlist.

He Tried Sushi In Europe & Found It “Amazing”
The Tumbbad actor also spoke about his culinary explorations where he tried “sushi” for the first time in his life in 2010. He remembered dialling his wife from Europe and informing her about trying sushi for the first time. Unbeknown to him about the dish taking over India in the next few years, he desired to bring his wife to Europe just to sample sushi. After his first experience in Europe, Sohum Shah visited the continent often and even flew to Prague, Budapest, Spain and Paris.
