It departed at 12:30 PM from Terminal 3 of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, according to a report by NDTV. After landing at the airport in West Bengal, they heard shocking updates about their luggage.

A SpiceJet spokesperson replied to the incident at the Bagdogra airport faced by passengers on the Delhi-Bagdogra flight. According to the statement, the reason for all these was the aircraft facing payload restrictions. These restrictions were because of operational reasons. This was why they had to offload some luggage from the flight. The spokesperson further added that all the offloaded luggage will be sent through the next flights.

Airlines tend to make similar decisions when aircraft face payload restrictions. To operate smoothly and ensure safe departure and landing, staff offloads baggage while coming across these issues.
