Not Alcohol, THIS Used To Be Ayushmann Khurrana’s Poison While Road Tripping With His Buddies In College!

College road trips usually come with one predictable image that of loud music, cramped cars, friends passing around bottles, and someone trying to keep the energy alive till sunrise. But when Ayushmann Khurrana recently looked back at his Chandigarh-to-Kasol days on Sunday Brunch with Kamiya Jani, his memories smelled not like alcohol, but like hot sugar syrup from roadside halwai shops.

Ayushmann Khurrana Reveals His Sweetest College Road Trip Habit

Ayushmann Khurrana appeared on the show with Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh, where the conversation drifted from food and fitness to love, marriage, and the kind of stories people usually remember only when old friends meet again. Somewhere in between all of that, Ayushmann casually dropped what might be the most unexpected road-trip confession ever.

While his friends stocked the car with alcohol for those long drives into the hills, Ayushmann Khurrana had a completely different ritual. Every time the group stopped somewhere along the route, he would disappear into a local sweet shop and return carrying boxes packed with imarti, jalebi, rasgulla, and gulab jamun. Not one piece, and certainly not a polite tasting portion, but full boxes. Then he would settle into the backseat and quietly demolish them through the journey while everybody else drank!

Ayushmann Khurrana’s Love For Jalebi And Imarti

The image is honestly interesting in its own strange way. Outside the windows were winding Himachal roads and cold mountain air. But inside the car was a sweet tooth obsession to the extreme! And in one corner sits Ayushmann Khurrana, fully committed to a sugar rush.

Kamiya Jani, our editor-in-chief, burst out laughing the moment he narrated the story and joked, “Ye hai unki sharab.” Ayushmann instantly agreed, with complete acceptance that mithai was, in fact, his poison.

That tiny detail probably says more about him than any celebrity interview ever could. Most actors talk about crazy parties or rebellious college adventures. Ayushmann remembers syrup-dripping jalebis eaten on highways between Chandigarh and Kasol. Somehow, that feels far more real!
