Ratan Tata Gave Strict Instructions To Taj Staff On Sheltering Street Dogs
Rubi Khan, an HR professional, took to LinkedIn to share a picture of a dog peacefully sleeping on the premises of Mumbai’s iconic Taj Mahal Hotel. In her post, Khan who was a guest at the heritage hotel was pleasantly surprised to see a street dog, napping near the hotel’s entrance. On enquiring with the hotel staff, she learned that this dog had been part of the hotel since its birth. And Ratan Tata gave strict instructions to the staff on the treatment of stray dogs.
The well-known animal lover and the Tata Group honcho is an advocate for the humane treatment of street dogs. In fact, at Bombay House, the Tata Group headquarters in Mumbai, he has a dedicated section to shelter start dogs in the area. The sight of the stray dog peacefully and safely sleeping under the roof of the establishment proves the brand’s ethos of compassion for both human beings and animals.
