Each year during the latter half of February, Uttar Pradesh sees a flood of tourists, all thanks to the Taj Mahotsav celebrations. Celebrated in Agra, this annual event is one of the most anticipated festivals in the state. It sees people from all over the world flocking the city of the popular Taj Mahal to get a glimpse of its culture and heritage. And the dates of Taj Mahotsav 2024 are out. Celebrating The Culture, Food, And Craft Of Uttar Pradesh
Taj Mahotsav is a 10-day event that aims to promote Uttar Pradesh’s local artists, crafts, cuisines, and folk dance and music. Starting from the 18th of February, this event will go on till February 27th, 2024. The Mahotsav will take place at Shilpgram, Agra, and hundreds of artisans from all over India will participate in it. The Taj Mahotsav started in 1992 and this will be the 32nd edition of the event.
Organised by the Department of Tourism, each year a Mughal-style procession is taken out during the festivities, along with many performances by folk artists. In fact, it is believed that Taj Mahotsav takes inspiration from the 18th and 19th-century Mughal era in Uttar Pradesh. Hundreds of local artisans from around India come to display their work here and draw many Indians as well as foreign tourists.

Things To Look Out For During Taj Mahotsav 2024
From tribal craft and arts to local food and music, this festival sees the best of India in every sense of the word. You can expect artisans from Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, West Bengal, Kashmir, and even North Eastern states to display their art here. A few things to look forward to in Taj Mahotsav 2024 are the unique works of art that Uttar Pradesh is known for. Like marble and zardozi work decor items, chikankari apparel, silk sarees, and wood-carved items.
