Taking Barbiecore To A Whole New Level, Mumbai Baker Prepares Pink Barbie Biryani; Netizens Protest

Barbicore captivated the globe last year. And looks like there’s no end to this Barbie fever! Hopping on the pink bandwagon, a Mumbai baker prepared pink Barbie biryani and even pink-hued halwa for a Barbie-themed birthday party. But looks like the unconventional dishes didn’t find much takers on the Internet. Here’s why.

Mumbai Baker Prepares Barbie Biryani & Pink Pav Halwa

Mumbai-based baker, Heena Kausar Raad took to her Instagram page, @creamycreationsbyhkr to share videos of her latest creations from a Barbie-themed birthday party. From balloons to cutlery, tablecloth and more, the entire party stuck to the theme and how! Heena Kausar Raad, dressed in a beautiful pink attire excitedly unveils her showstopper main course — pink biryani. A massive vessel filled with distinctive pink-coloured biryani is seen.

Heena shows bowls with pink-coloured masala and pink-coloured rice to viewers. “Barbie biryani hai toh raita bhi Barbie hona chahiye na?” So, the Mumbai baker even prepared a pink-coloured raita to go with the theme. And if you don’t call this an overdose of all things pink, wait till you see the dessert! For mithai, she brings to the table traditional, Pav Halwa. But once again, it’s pink in colour! It demonstrates her unwavering commitment to sticking to the theme.

Netizens Aren’t Pleased With The Amount Of Food Colouring Used

But despite all her efforts in following the theme to the best of her abilities, Netizens were neither impressed by her pink biryani nor by her pink pav halwa. @sabburedcherry comments that there was too much food colour in every dish she prepared. @blackbead05 urged her to use less food colour as it’s harmful to one’s gut health and immunity.

Another Netizen was pretty sure she didn’t use beetroot to extract the colour. Rather, artificial colours were used to give pink hues to the dishes. Some even called it “bezzati to biryani”.
