People wait decades for this procedure and even then, the waitlist seems never-ending. In a thread that went viral recently, someone ranted about and criticised the procedure and how much hassle its applicants have to go through. That the H-1B visa process is a hassle is known well throughout. A person took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and shared his frustration. According to an article which was recently published by the Hindustan Times or HT, this particular person works as an engineer at Google.

As per the thread that he shared on the micro-blogging website, he finally got his permanent residency in the US after being there for a whopping 3,505 days. This is close to a decade! He wrote that he no longer has to travel while worrying about his documents.

In a series of posts, he made it clear that he was still one of the luckier people because it is normal for these processes to take more than a decade. The reason he got it before others is that he applied under the EB1 category.

“If America Hopes To Continue Attracting Best Talent In The World…”

He also highlighted that if the US hopes to continue to attract the best talent in the world then it has to seriously review how it treats the talent via such procedures. What is more, the post got a lot of criticism and he responded to that as well.

He said that the reason he left India was for better opportunities. He went on to mention that he loved what he did and would continue to do it all over again.
