Tejas Express All-Set To Be The First Privately Run Train Between Delhi-Lucknow

Tejas Express that runs between Delhi and Lucknow is all set to be the first train that will be run by private owners. The long wait for Tejas Express stops today, as the railway authorities are handing over their operation of two trains and it will no longer be run by the Indians Railways. The union had protested against this decision of the railways, still, the authorities went ahead and handed over their 100-day agenda for the trains.

Tejas Express was announced in the year 2016 and they waited until 2019 to get it on the tracks. The new railway schedule that came in introduced Tejas Express and it currently stands at Annandnagar railway station in Uttar Pradesh. According to Live Mint’s reports, the custody of the trains stays with IRCTC ( Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) and they will also be paying for it along with their lease charges to Indian Railway Finance Corporation.

Timings For Tejas Express (12585) – Departure at 6.50 a.m from Lucknow Junction.
Arrival at 3.35 p.m in New Delhi.
