If you’ve travelled in a plane pretty frequently, then you must be all too familiar with turbulence. Light turbulence usually isn’t that bad and it might even give you butterflies in your tummy. However, when the turbulence is strong, it can get very scary. In a rare and extreme case, a Lufthansa flight heading from the United States of America to Germany was hit with such extreme turbulence that it ended up injuring several people.

A video posted on the popular social media website Instagram shows the aftermath of the turbulence inside the plane. The video posted on the site shows the mess inside the plane. The aisles and the seats of the plane are all cluttered with mess since the plane was literally shaken and many things were probably displaced during the turbulence.

You can see the pillows lying haywire on the seat and even a pair of socks that have fallen in the aisle. There are other types of mess spread all over the plane and you can even see pieces of paper and magazines scattered all around.

The video also shows ambulances in the distance carrying the passengers that were injured when the flight was hit with this extreme turbulence.

7 People Admitted To Hospital For Minor Injuries

It is not often that flights and planes are hit with such extreme turbulence to the extent that people get injured. However, this very thing happened on the Lufthansa flight. The flight, which was from Texas in the United States of America to Frankfurt in Germany, was hit with such extreme turbulence that it ended up injuring seven passengers onboard.

However, it is important to note that the injuries were minor. After the turbulence hit the Texas-Frankfurt flight, it was diverted to Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia. The flight landed safely and no major damages were incurred. The seven injured people were all taken to the area hospitals and their injuries were treated.
