There’s A Travel Start-Up By 2 Moms That Curates Rich Travel Experiences For Both Moms & Kids

Travelling with kids can be an immensely rewarding experience. However, it’s undeniable that the journey comes with its fair share of challenges, especially for moms. The complexities and demands of managing a family’s needs on the road can make travelling a daunting task. However, there are certain startups that make life easier for both moms and children. Dear moms, welcome yourself to ‘Travel with kids’.

There’s A Travel Startup, Travel With Kids

The firm, founded in 2021 by two mothers-Dr Saakshi Gulati (38) and Dr Nikita Mathur (34)-wants to help mothers to accomplish their travel goals with their children. Gulati and Mathur both work as dentists and like travelling. Earlier, Dr Gulati was warned by people that travelling with a baby would be extremely tough. She, on the other hand, wanted to prove them incorrect.  Whereas Mathur has always enjoyed travelling. As a result, she continues to travel with her two children both within and outside of India.

According to a story published by HerStory, Gulati and Mathur are both Instagram creators who make content on travel and parenthood, discovered each other’s profiles in 2019 and began chatting. A shared job, children of the same age, and a shared passion for travel quickly solidified their friendship. One day, while talking about travel, they both realised that there are travel organisations for women, single travellers, older citizens, couples, and so on, but nothing for mothers and children. And this was how the whole concept was born.

Travel With Kids came into being in 2021. The startup’s first mother-and-children trip was to Puducherry in the same year.

How Do They Plan The Trips?

So far, the start-up has booked 20 such vacations to five different locations: Puducherry, Coonoor, Varkala, Goa, and Mysuru. They’ve also organised all-women vacations to Lakshadweep, Andaman, and Puducherry.

How do they manage? They choose a location and post it to their Instagram account. When they receive confirmation from individuals who are interested, they create a detailed itinerary, which is quickly followed by the release of a Google form. This form has been meticulously developed to collect essential information regarding the child’s sleeping habits, nutritional preferences, probable allergies, and any other special needs.

Taking all of this information into account, they proceed to make the necessary reservations. Once all of the details are finalised, they arrange a video meeting and a WhatsApp group. Moreover, one of the founders is always present on the trip.

Additionally, to ensure safety, mothers are provided separate rooms with their children and commonly stay in homestays or boutique hotels. As a result, three to four-day vacations often cost between  ₹20,000 and ₹25,000.

So, when are planning to travel with them?
