These 10 Indian Cities Now Have Google Maps Street View For Hassle-Free Travel

Google has finally launched its street view service across 10 cities in India in partnership with two local companies. The government had previously not allowed the showing of panoramic images of roads and other sites for security reasons. However, a statement from Google on Wednesday revealed that Street View is being launched now in India in partnership with Genesys International and Tech Mahindra. And this is the first time that the feature is launched in collaboration with completely local partners. Totally a proud moment for India! Street View Will Cover Over 1,50,000 Km Across Ten Cities In India

You will now be able to use the new Street View feature available on Google Maps in ten cities in India currently. This new feature has fresh imagery licensed from Genesys International, and Tech Mahindra and will be covering over 1,50,000 km across ten Indian cities.
“Starting today, Street View will be available on Google Maps with fresh imagery licensed from local partners covering over 1,50,000 km across ten cities in India, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, Nashik, Vadodara, Ahmednagar, and Amritsar,” an official statement said. Google along with Genesys International and Tech Mahindra, also plans to roll out this new feature to more than 50 cities by the end of 2022.

The New Feature Will Help People Navigate New Corners of India

Google is quite hopeful regarding the India launch of the new feature on Google maps. “Street View will help people navigate and explore new corners of the country and the world in a more visual and accurate way, enabling them to fully experience what it’s like to be in these places, right from their phone or computer,” the company said.
Apart from this, accessing the new feature is quite easy. Just open Google Maps on your device, type the name of the location and search for it. You will find an icon at the bottom of the screen. Tap on the icon and you will get a Street View look of the location. This new feature will help you discover urban architecture, explore landmarks, and plan your trip way better with 360 degree panoramic street level images!
