This annual index is based on 60 cities from different corners of the world. According to a report by TimeOut, this has been created using data and information shared by professionals and specialists. To rank the cities on best public transport, factors such as affordability, commuting from one place to another, transit modes, speed of commuting, and more are considered.
1. Hong Kong
Hong Kong is the world’s leading city when it comes to the annual index of best public transport. Some factors that determined its top ranking are a great rail network and its affordability to access by citizens.

2. Zurich
Zurich ranks in the second spot with the world’s best public transport.
3. Stockholm
The Sweden capital has also made its name on this list at the third rank.

Securing the 7th rank, Tokyo made it to the annual index of the world’s best transport. Tokyo’s public transit includes different modes such as buses, monorails, rail services, subways, and trams. And when it comes to punctuality, Tokyo is known for it.
8. Paris
