Shiny Smile Veneers carried out a survey to pick out the funniest state and city in the US. These states are analysed and given a ‘funny score’. Out of 50 states, here are the top ten funniest states in the US!
Top 10 Funniest States In The US
To determine which places had the best sense of humour, they used a variety of data to develop a “funny score” for the 25 most populated U.S. cities and each of the 50 states. Each location received scores on the basis of factors like residents per comedy club, residents per comedy festival, residents per comedy special host city, residents per top comedian’s home state and search volume per city/state.
According to this survey, Massachusetts has emerged as the funniest state in the US. It is a state in the New England region and is known formally as the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The state to conquer the second position was New York! New York is renowned for its tall skyscrapers, well-known neighbourhoods, and boundless vitality. The Big Apple has a lot to offer, from baseball and pizza to Times Square and yellow cabs. And third in line is Illinois — the midwestern state bordering Indiana and the Mississippi River.

Least Funniest States
Just like the funniest states, this survey was able to pick out the least ones in the country. And the state that ranked first in North Dakota! Apparently, the place known for its Badlands is not so big on jokes. It was followed by Wyoming, known for its extensive indigenous mythology, gorgeous scenery, and magnificent national parks. The third one was Arkansas, which is famous for its rich folk music tradition. Others that featured in the list were Alabama, New Hampshire, Maine, Mississippi, Idaho, Delaware and Florida.
