As you step into the hallowed halls of Esplanade, you will be greeted not just by the aroma of delectable cuisine but also by the palpable sense of history and stories waiting to be told. This isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a sanctuary where Bengal’s vibrant spirit finds expression. The air is filled with anticipation as Esplanade unveils its new menu, a carefully curated selection that pays homage to eras past.

Among the offerings are treasures from the British era. Braised Chicken Cutlet and Murgir Dakbungalow evoke the flavours of yesteryear. But perhaps the most enchanting part of the menu lies in its tribute to the esteemed Rabindranath Tagore, the literary luminary whose influence extends far beyond the written word. Through dishes like Chhana Karaishutir Chop, Aloo Karaishutir Nimano, and Badam Bata Macch Bhaja, Esplanade captures the essence of Tagore’s palate, offering guests a taste of the flavours that inspired one of Bengal’s greatest minds.

Not to be outdone, the menu also boasts dishes with a Mughal influence, paying homage to a dynasty known for its opulent culinary traditions. Bhetki Dumpukht stands as a testament to the grandeur of Mughal cuisine, while street food classics like Macher Kochuri and Machher Chop add a touch of Kolkata’s vibrant culinary landscape to the mix.
