Yes, Holi is around the corner and Kinara by Vikas Khanna at JA LakeView Hotel, celebrates the festival with a magnificent menu of traditional and modern dishes. The festive menu is available for lunch and dinner, on 9 and 10 March.
The Menu
Described as a journey of the senses and an explosion of flavour, foodies can try a vibrant set menu for AED 220 per person. Warm up your senses with a Thandai of almond, fennel seeds and saffron, before diving in to a starter of Amritsari Macchi– Vikas Khanna’s take on fish fingers with mint chutney and pickled pink raddish.
The menu also boasts the much loved Murgh Boti Kebab-chicken morsels with pearl onion and green mango chutney. Vegetarians have delectable options t00! Binge on Pyaz Kachouri or Dahi Vada – Khanna’s signature lentil dumplings with yogurt and tamarind glaze.
Main Course
The main course is a nod to the timeless traditions of Holi. Expect vegetarian feasts like Paneer Khurchan– cottage cheese with bell pepper and roasted tomatoes and a Kurkuri Bhindi– crisp okra with green mangoes. Alternatively, you can choose Murgh Ka Salan -chicken stew and potato crisps or the all-time favourite Bhuna Gosht– lamb with caramelized onion and tomato salsa. All dishes are accompanied with generous sides of kadhi pakodi, steamed ricee, puran poli and the famous Kinara roti.
End your meal with a selection of delectable desserts including Gujjia- a milk and coconut creation or Kesari Malpua pancakes with saffron and homemade ice-cream.
