Time to unveil Bhumi Pednekar’s strongly recommended pani puri spot in Mumbai. *drum roll please* It’s Chandru’s! Located in 7 Bungalows, next to Pop Tates in Versova, Andheri, this pani puri holds a special place in her heart. In the reel shared by Bhumi, she is seen bingeing on pani puri while dressed in a white co-ord suit with a beige blazer.

“Every time I crave pani puri, which is like all the time, the only place I want to eat it from is Chandru’s”, she says in a voice-over.  She goes on to say that Chandru’s serves the best pani puri in Mumbai. “Nothing has changed. The taste is the same, the people are the same, the love is the same, this feels like home!”, she says, leaving us drooling in front of our screens.

Serving Bhumi Pednekar is a smiling pani puri vendor dressed in a blue checkered shirt with trousers. Bhumi Pednekar is certainly a regular at Chandru’s. Apart from the pani puri (₹60) you can also grab other delicious chaats here like sev puri, dahi papdi chaat, masala puri, dahi pattice and more. On Sundays, you can dig into Sindhi specialities like dal pakwan.

Oh and if you have a sweet tooth, then Bhumi Pednekar has a special recommendation for you at Chandru’s — Sev Barfi. A popular Sindhi delight, this barfi is made of sev, mawa, sugar, khoa, milk and dry fruits. She says the sev barfi here is “so good”. Well, Bhumi Pednekar’s drool-worthy reel had even the TV czarina Ekta Kapoor enquiring about the location of Chandru’s in the comments section. Even mental health advocate and digital creator, Raashi Gurnani praised this chaat place. While Bhumi’s sister, Samiksha chimed, “no more gatekeeping Chandru’s”.
