We have all grown up watching occasionally streaming South Indian movies on television. These South Indian films have a distinct charm that is welcome after being repeatedly exposed to the same old Bollywood material. The popularity of the film industry has steadily increased. Especially after the debut of Bahubali, the industry received the recognition it deserved. On this episode of Sunday Brunch, our Editor-in-Chief Kamiya Jani was joined by Rana Daggubati and his uncle, the South Indian movie star Venkatesh Daggubati. Venkatesh Daggubati Talked About His Mindset Towards Acting

It was fun to talk about everything with Venkatesh and Rana Daggubati. Whether it was their love of food or how they performed in the business, we got to know a lot of exciting things.  Next, we were curious about how they both became actors and if that was something they had always aspired to do. It has been all business for Venkatesh.

He frankly claimed that fame or glamour were not his motivation for working in the field. Even today, he continues to see it only as a business, nothing more.  He also talked about his commitment to producing entertaining movies that will appeal to audiences and make money for him and his crew. Other than that, he is not particularly drawn to this world’s glitz and glamour.

He Was Only 10 When He Earned His First-Ever Paycheck

Next, all we were interested in knowing was Venkatesh Daggubati’s first paycheck. When he was a child, his father was working on a film that desperately needed a young actor for a small part. He agreed to play the part when his father asked him to in exchange for ₹1,000. Interestingly, he was only 10 years old at the time. In addition, he disclosed that the movie ‘Prem Nagar’ had a Hindi remake with the same name.
