Ashneer Grover, the ex-co-founder of BharatPe and former judge of the TV show, Shark Tank India joined our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani for this Sunday Brunch. We met him at his lavish residence in Gurugram and talked about various topics. From his favourite food to investments to addictions, we covered it all. Talking about addictions, did you know he might be addicted to this thing, according to his wife?
According To Ashneer Grover’s Wife, He Is Addicted To…
Ashneer Grover started by sharing that he is much more comfortable on social media after gaining fame. If people want to make a reel and post on social media, he is okay with it. He said that he is aware this is a part and parcel of fame and what you represent. Kamiya told him that he is a great entrepreneur and that he should stick to his entrepreneurship and leave social media for the other content creators. She said in a joking manner, “Hum kya karenge, content creators, influencers, agar aap bhi yaha content banayenge?”
Then she went on to ask Ashneer Grover the number of hours he spends on his phone daily. He told us, “Enough hours that an iPhone has to be charged twice a day,” and started laughing out loud. Ashneer also mentioned that his wife, Madhuri Jain, thinks that he is addicted to his phone. He told us, “Instagram addiction, to be precise.” How many of you are addicted to Instagram, answer honestly.

This Is What He Constantly Checks
He said, “I don’t do things casually, I am very number-driven.” He explained this scenario that whenever he puts up a reel, he constantly checks on the reel insights to see how many people watched it. The reason behind this? He told us that “I get more worked up” because the reels are not trending or gaining numbers per usual.
So he thinks about what else he can do so he’ll be at the top of the game again. This was the number-driven Ashneer Grover talking to us. Every Instagram creator has the urge to check insights regularly to know how and what content works for their audience. Hence, this must be quite relatable for many.
