The glam city of Dubai has earlier been associated with the social brand and the mastermind, Michelin star chef Jason Atherton. City Social after relentless efforts by the chef & his team has opened its doors on the 43rd floor of Grosvenor House in Dubai Marina. Three terraces with views of Ain Dubai, The Palm Jumeirah, and beyond are included in the maze-like eating area, which also features thick oak tables.

A notable marble staircase is located in the middle of the space taking the elegance of this space a notch up. The strategic location of the stairs behind the bar, next to a wine refrigerator extends to the ceiling. In the end, the layout combines a bar, restaurant, and lounge, reflecting Atherton’s desire for guests to stay all night. And we sure will! The Michelin Star chef has left no stone unturned to turn this venue into a buzzing replica of its London venture. Less known fact, Jason worked in Dubai with Chef Gordon Ramsay for good 10 years before creating his own empire of Restaurants.

Well, the menu is created by a Michelin-star chef so you can already anticipate the plates to look like art. As mentioned, the Dubai outpost will serve contemporary European food similar to London.

Guests can anticipate dishes like a braised smoked short rib (Atherton’s favourite), aged acquerello parmesan rice, and Scottish salmon miso-cured with king crab.

The meal also has a social component. Diners are given five scoops of ice cream as part of a dessert game, and they are expected to guess the flavours, some of which are fairly strange, like miso and goat’s cheese.

We don’t mean to spill, but City Social might also have a speakeasy in Dubai. Wait until we share all the deets with you here!
