One of the most popular lanes in Kolkata’s New Market area housing KFC, City Mart and the Shreeram Arcade bustles with curious shoppers all throughout the day. And in a small corner of this lane, right in front of the KFC outlet, stands a paralysed man selling patties and cream rolls. While many popular food joints around would sell a dish at a minimum price of ₹50-₹70, uncle gives away his crunchy patties at just ₹20. Popular Kolkata food blogger Soham Sinha recently shared the man’s video on his Instagram handle ‘kolkatadelites’ and it is going viral.

Food Blogger Urges Followers To Support Local Vendors

Sharing the video, Soham wrote that the man has been selling patties for 35 years. Soham added that the man works hard every day to earn the bread for his family. A security guard also helps him in serving the food. At the end of the video, Soham has urged his followers to support local vendors. The man sells vegetable patties, chicken patties and cream rolls. The caption of the video reads that the patties are ‘super delicious’.

Internet Calls The Man ‘Superhero’

The video went insanely viral, garnering over 96.6k likes and 344 comments. The internet is touched by the video and the comments are the proof. Commenting on the video, vlogger Gaurav Wasan of Swad Official wrote, “Superheroes.” Another commented, “My heart is full.” Yet another wrote, “Such beautiful people. His smile made my day.” Another stated, “Huge respect.. hats off.”
