Who says fashion can only be worn and not eaten? The trench coat is timeless, and since its introduction, it has never gone out of style. But we never thought a Burberry trench coat would get a dessert makeover! Recently, a pastry chef celebrating 170 years of Burberry created a dessert that brings fashion and sweetness together. Pastry chef Syma Ali (@the_heartbaker) often takes to social media to share how cake designs don’t always need to feature hearts, flowers, cars, or more. It can also be inspired by fashion. On social media, he has shared newspaper-themed cakes, leopard-print cakes, and more. However, one of his recent creations took us all by surprise with its creativity.

To celebrate 170 years of Burberry, pastry chef Syma Ali created a dessert inspired by the brand’s iconic trench coat and introduced it as “The Burberry Trench: Crafting an Icon.” In the photos shared on social media, the dessert looks just like the original trench coat with the brand’s signature beige colour and check pattern. It looks very similar to the original Burberry trench coat, but only until you dig your spoon into it.

Water-Resistant Dessert We Never Knew We Needed!

One of the highlights of this dessert is its water-resistant property. The gabardine fabric used in Burberry’s trench coat is known for its water-resistant qualities, helping protect the wearer from rain. And now, this unique feature has been recreated in dessert form!

In the video, the chef pours a few drops of water onto the dessert, and they sit on the surface without soaking in. This mimics the water-resistant quality of Burberry’s gabardine fabric, which helps protect the trench coat from rain. This dessert is one of the best things I’ve seen today, and I can’t wait to try it.
