There’s aloo paratha, gobi paratha and every possible stuffed paratha, but have you heard of rabdi paratha? Bet, you’ve not! It’s thick, luscious, Lucknowi-famous rabdi stuffed inside soft paratha. We’re not sure how we feel about this, but its definitely worth a try.

2. Charcoal Hummus – Life N One

You’ve might have tasted meat with hummus or pine nuts with hummus, but have you ever come across charcoal with hummus? As odd as it may sound, it is surprisingly tasty. You get the subtle hint of lemon, that adds a tinge of pleasant flavour. Weird food combination, but its worth a go!

3. Maggie Sandwich – OPao

Yes! This exists. It is one of the most weird combinations of food in Dubai and you’ve got to try it to know it. Also, it’s very light on the pocket.

4. Avocado Chaat – Farzi Cafe

Speaking of avocados here’s another weird food combination. When we talk about chaat, we think spicy, sweet, savoury but never healthy. But Kudos to them, for creating something healthy, yet street-style. The Hass Avocado Chaat features avocado blended with sweet yoghurt, pomegranate, tamarind chutney and topped with sev and a little bit of beetroot jelly. The yogurt, pomegranate and chutney camouflage the avocado’s taste, so it works perfectly for those who want to sneak in this power food.

5. Donut Sandwich- Glazed

If you can’t decide between sweet or savory, you must try this one out. You can have your party sandwiched between a glazed or plain donut.

6. Daal Chawaal Archini Balls- Farzi Cafe

A quirky, new twist to the traditional home-made Daal Chawaal, these lentil balls are quite strange but in a good way. Definitely one of the most weird combination foods in Dubai. The dish is served on a bed of tomato salsa topped with a mini papad, mint sauce and achari mayonnaise. What’s not to love!

7. Karak Chai Milk Cake- Treej Cafe

Karak chai lovers, you can now eat your karak! Treej serves a heroic version of the humble Karak- the Karak chai milk cake. The soft, spongy milk cake has the perfect karak of a chai and is served on a bed of chai. Works for us, what say?

8. Nutella And Oman Chips Regag

Unlike UAE’s favourite chips Oman sandwich served at cafeterias, this one’s got an added goodness- NUTELLA! The bread is thinner than a crepe, smothered with nutella and topped with a generous serving of chips Oman. The sweet and salty combination for AED 5 is to die for!

9. Pav Bhaji Burger- Hitchki

When you’re not able to decide between a burger and a pav bhaji, have both in one go! Hitchki Dubai serves delicious pav bhaji burger. The combination makes for a perfect snack and is sure to satiate every kind of chaat lover.

10. Sabudana Cheese Croquettes- Chaat Bazaar

Sabhudana vadas are usually eaten during the fast of Eqadeshi, but chaat Bazaar cleverly decided to make this popular ‘fast snack’ a cheesy one to appeal to people like me. Well done!
