Trains Will Now Halt At Pulwama’s Ratnipora In Kashmir; Now You Can Do More Wanderlusting!

The Indian Railways has taken another step towards providing seamless service to passengers even in remote locations. The long-pending demand for the Ratnipora Halt between Awantipora and Kakapora in Kashmir has now finally been fulfilled.

New Railway Station Halt Opened At Ratnipora

Ratnipora is a village in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, situated equally distant from three towns, Awantipora, Pulwama and Pampore, making it an important conjunction.

Ratnipora Halt Station in Baramula-Banihal Rail Section (Kashmir Valley) has been opened. One minute stoppage of 4 trains has been provided for the convenience of rail passengers. The newly-opened halt station will give a one-minute stoppage for four trains, which will significantly enhance the convenience of rail passengers travelling in this region.

The Ratnipora Halt Station is strategically located in the Baramula-Banihal Rail Section, which is an important route connecting the Kashmir Valley with the rest of India. The opening of this station will not only improve connectivity but also create new opportunities for economic development in the region.

Moreover, the train service in this part of the Kashmir Valley has been instrumental in facilitating tourism in the region as well. The valley is a popular destination among tourists due to its breathtaking natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and historical significance. Recently, More Railway Stations Were Introduced

The Indian Railways have been adding new stations for the ease of passengers.

Recently, the Prime Minister of India inaugurated the newly-rebuilt Belagavi railway station. The long-awaited modernisation of the Belagavi railway station will allow the start of new train services. It will start between various parts of the state towards Maharashtra and Goa. The main railway station in North Western Karnataka is Belagavi, formerly known as Belgaum, and it is operated by South Western Railways.

Last year, new state-of-the-art railway stations were even proposed. The redeveloped Indian stations will be totally Indian in concept catering to the needs of the common man. The modernisation of railway stations across various zones will help boost the country’s economic growth. It will also create more jobs. The project aims at providing a better passenger experience.
