Good news travel enthusiasts! You’ll soon be able to travel from Delhi to Varanasi in high-speed bullet trains from 2029. These trains will be available every 22 minutes, running on the Delhi-Varanasi High-Speed Rail Corridor (DVHSR). The Railway Ministry recently made the announcement for the ambitious project in the Rajya Sabha. Read on to know all the deets.

High Speed Bullet Train To Travel From Delhi To Varanasi In 3 Hours 33 Minutes

According to a Times Of India report, the 813km long Delhi-Varanasi High-Speed Rail Corridor will be equipped with 13 stations-one underground and 12 elevated in Uttar Pradesh. The high-speed bullet train shall travel at 330 km/hr. Passengers can reach Delhi to Varanasi in just 3 hours and 33 minutes. An official revealed to TOI that 43 trains per day shall reach Avadh crossing station every 22 minutes.

High-Speed Bullet Trains To Come Up Across India

The high-speed bullet train will start its journey from Hazrat Nizamuddin. There would be stops at Noida Sector 146 metro station, Jewar Airport, Mathura, Agra, Lucknow, Bareilly, Prayagraj, Bhadohi and finally complete its journey in Varanasi’s Manduadih. The ambitious plan suggests that 18 trains will run daily every 47 minutes from Varanasi. High-speed bullet trains may also come in other routes across India like Delhi-Amritsar, Chennai-Mysore via Bangalore, Mumbai-Hyderabad, to name a few.
