Enjoy Panaromic View Of The Western Ghats From Bengaluru To Mangaluru

On July 11, the first-ever Vistadome train coaches on the Mangaluru to Bengaluru express train flagged off from Mangaluru Junction. According to The News Minute, the two Vistadome coaches were fully booked, housing around 80 passengers on Train No 06540. The luxurious train took off from Mangaluru Junction and reached Yesvanthpur Junction in Bengaluru. The Vistadome coaches replaced two general coaches. These swanky coaches have large windows on both sides and glass panels on the roof to provide stunning views of the Western Ghats. The seats revolve 80 degrees have LED lights, a microwave, small refrigerators and a GPS based information system.

Trains That Have Vistadome Coaches In The Bengaluru-Mangaluru Junction

The booking for this luxurious vistadome coaches started on July 7. The fare on this Mangaluru-Bengaluru stretch has been set to around ₹1500 to ₹1,670 per head. This is in line with the rate of the executive class of Shatabdi. Each Visatdome coach has a seating capacity of 44. You can book this experience on the following trains- Yeshwantpur-Mangaluru Junction Gomateshwara Tri-weekly Express Special (06575/06576), Yeshwantpur-Mangaluru Junction-Yeshwantpur Weekly Express Special (Train No. 06540/06539) and Yeshwantpur-Karwar Tri-weekly special (06211/06212).  The tri-weekly trains leave Yeshwantpur at 7 am and reach Mangaluru Junction at 5 pm. They leave Mangaluru Junction at 11:30 am and reach Yeshwantpur at 8:20 pm.
