How Chembur Metro Station Connects 3 Transit Options
The new Chembur Metro station on Mumbai Metro Line 2B has brought three public transport options closer. They are the metro, suburban railway and monorail. All three stations are within a short walking distance, making it easier for commuters to switch between them.
The new Chembur Metro station is close to both the railway and monorail stations. According to Times of India, Chembur railway station is around 200 metres away, so local train passengers can walk to the metro and continue their trip. Metro 2B’s Sixth Operational Station
Chembur is now the sixth operational station on the eastern side of Metro Line 2B. The line currently runs beyond Diamond Garden. Although this part of the route is still short, the new Chembur station connects Metro 2B with Mumbai’s existing local train and monorail networks, making the area more connected.
As Metro Line 2B expands, this Chembur connection is likely to become even more useful for commuters. The planned route will run from Mandale to DN Nagar, covering several important areas along the way, including BKC. This wider network could make the Chembur interchange more important for daily travel across Mumbai.
