We firmly believe that travel teaches us things that no school or college can! It opens the door to new experiences, and cultures, and makes us question and see things from a whole new perspective. And it looks like Indians are understanding and embracing their love for travel in 2025. According to the 4th edition of the India Holiday Report by Thomas Cook & SOTC Travel, Indians plan to travel more and seek longer holidays this year.
Indian Travellers Are Seeking More & Longer Holidays In 2025
The 4th India Holiday Report 2025 is a comprehensive study that gives insight into the ever-evolving aspirations and travel behaviour of Indian consumers. The survey for this report was conducted across digital platforms covering over 2,500 respondents. It reflects a significant shift driven by rising disposable incomes and the growing aspirational value of travel, including experiential holidays.
One of the most notable shifts is the rise in the trips planned in a year. According to the report, 85% of Indians plan to increase their frequency of holidays in 2025 and a significant number intend to boost travel budgets by up to 50%. Indians plan to increase their holidays from 2 per year to 4-6 trips annually.
