Working in the United States Of America is everyone’s dream. But applying for a visa is a tedious and time-consuming process. Commonly, B1 and B2 visas are issued to people based on their purpose of visiting the US. B1 is for short-term business purposes while B2 is for a tourist visa. However, the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced a new move that will help you apply for jobs! But that’s not all. US Visa Rule For Tourist & Business Purposes!

The US Citizenship and Immigration Services has announced that people with tourist and business visas can apply for new jobs and attend interviews. According to the new update in visa rules, visa holders cannot engage in any type of employment; that means those with B1 status cannot work in domestic labour and B2 status cannot engage in employment.

The second rule is regarding the application for new employment. If you are planning to apply for a new job, then the petition for the change of status from B1 or B2 to an employment authorised status must be approved and take effect. It is important to be admitted to the employment authorised status before starting a new job. The last rule states that if the application for a change of status is denied then the applicant must depart from the country.

Currently, several companies are laying off employees in the United States. Big names like Google, Amazon, etc have mass fired their employees. This situation was having a daunting effect on foreign workers. And under such circumstances, this new rule is a welcome change for them. Many immigrants have changed their visa status to stay in the country.
