Etihad Airways Partners With TAROM, Getting Access To 11 Destinations Via Bucharest

Etihad Airways is an Abu Dhabi-based airline and one of the national carriers of the UAE that hardly needs any introduction. And the airline recently revealed on its X account how it has partnered with TAROM for a codeshare agreement. For those who are wondering, the latter is the national airline of Romania, and here’s what it means for guests of the airline.

Through our partnership with TAROM, guests can now access 11 destinations via Bucharest on a single ticket, alongside our new Abu Dhabi to Bucharest service launching 17 December 2026.

Through the codeshare partnership, the global guests of Etihad Airways will get connected to Romania and Eastern Europe. Travellers will be linked from Romania to Abu Dhabi and its network of destinations. Basically, through this codeshare agreement, guests of Etihad Airways can book a single ticket on TAROM flights from Bucharest to six cities. These would be across Romania and include Baia Mare, Oradea, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Suceava, and Timisoara. Moreover, the codeshare also extends to four Eastern European capitals of Belgrade, Chisinau, Sophia, and Budapest, and in turn, guests from Romania can reach Abu Dhabi from Bucharest.

Supports The Launch Of Abu Dhabi-Romania Service

Supporting the launch of the new Abu Dhabi-Romania service, it begins on December 17th, 2026, guests will be able to travel on a single ticket through this odeshare. The bags would be checked through the final stop, making it a lot more feasible and convenient for travellers.
