The Consulate General of India in New York took to social media to share the Bharati upgrade. Five years ago, it introduced Bharati, an AI-enabled chatbot. It helps users easily find information about passports, visas, OCI, attestation and other consular services. One of its benefits is that it offers round-the-clock service.
Now, this AI chatbot has got a major makeover. Bharati is no longer the faceless AI chatbot you used to message and has now been upgraded into a Virtual Consular Assistant. Launching the new version, the Consulate General of India in New York wrote, “Introducing our next-generation Virtual Consular Assistant, designed to make staying informed simpler, smarter, and more seamless.”

How Does This Virtual Consular Assistant Work?
In the video, you can see the Virtual Consular Assistant introducing herself. She is dressed in a saree and provides the information users need. The Virtual Consular Assistant helps users find important information from the Indian Consulate in New York.
