Mumbai resident Nirmala Fernandes (@nirmala__2318) took to her social media handle to share a video of herself enjoying Janmashtami in a local train from Badlapur to Thane. The coach was decorated with colourful ribbons and balloons, setting the perfect festive vibe. Bringing more energy to the celebration, she started dancing and then bent down to let a girl climb onto her back.
The girl on her back had a small stick in her hand, which she used to break the Dahi Handi hanging inside the local train coach. As soon as she broke it, flowers showered from the handi, and people loudly cheered and celebrated. This unusual sight inside a Mumbai local train has left many surprised, and the video shows several passengers recording the moment.
