TSRTC Has Launched Gamyam App For Live Bus Tracking & Also Announced Special Discounts On I-Day

This Independence Day, Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has announced special discounts for commuters in buses in Telangana. This comes after the state announced “TSRTC Gamyam” a bus tracking app to make travel simpler and safer. Read on to know more about the discounts and the new bus app in Telangana.

TSRTC Announces Special Discounts On Independence Day!

According to a report by Telangana Today, TSRTC is offering special discounts on its city buses and Palle Velugu buses on Independence Day, Tuesday. So, what’s the special discount for you commuters? Well, senior citizens will get a whopping 50 per cent discount on tickets when travelling on Palle Velugu buses on August 15th.

Also, the T-24 ticket which permits 24 hours of unlimited travel will be priced at ₹75 for adults and ₹50 for children. In a press release, TSRTC announced that this discount will be available on August 15th. For more details, commuters can contact the TSRTC call centre at 040-69440000, 040-23450033.

Have You Heard About Gamyam App?

When it comes to the app, TSRTC has a new bus-tracking app called “TSRTC Gamyam”. This app offers real-time tracking of special type TSRTC bus services, express buses and Pushpak AC airport buses too. There’s information on ETA (Expected time of Arrival) displayed at the selected destination and boarding stage so passengers can plan their travel itinerary ahead of their time.

Moreover, this app is specially designed to keep women’s safety in mind. Gamyam app has a “Flag A Bus” feature which is designed to keep women safe during nighttime travel in areas without bus stops. Passengers can report breakdowns and accidents and there’s a women’s helpline too.

You can also search by bus number to track a bus service being used by your family and loved ones. Also, this app aims to minimise unnecessary waiting at bus stops by letting passengers know when the buses are departing and arriving at stations around Telangana and neighbouring states.
