What’s better than a thought of a long holiday to log off from work and relax? There is a slew of public holidays planned in the UAE for 2022. From the start of 2022, the UAE has smoothly adapted to a reduced workweek. UAE is witnessing a massive surge in travel demand for the upcoming Eid Al Fitr holidays. Since January 1, 2022, the new weekend in the nation has been Friday half-day, Saturday, and Sunday. Eid Al Fitr, an Islamic festival, will be the UAE’s second public holiday in 2022. Are you already planning what you’ll do with your time off? Airfares are expected to spike by 30% during the Eid Al Fitr holidays. Flights to India, Saudi Arabia and Oman are already costing a bomb.

However, there is also some good news too! Budget carrier Wizz Air is offering airfares for as low as Dhs39 for a flight between Abu Dhabi and Muscat. Wizz Air is offering a 20% discount on its last-minute Eid holiday sale valid on flights till end of August.

When Is The Next UAE Public Holiday?

The date of Eid Al Fitr in 2022 is all set to fall on Sunday, May 1st, depending on which night the new crescent moon is seen. The end of Ramadan in 2022 gets Eid Al Fitr, which might provide us with a five-day reprieve depending on when it happens.

Residents may be able to take a five-day respite during Ramadan 2022, which will last up to 30 days. According to astronomical calculations, the holidays will most likely take place from Saturday, April 30 to Wednesday, May 4.

More Days Off In UAE in 2022

Arafat Day, on Friday, July 8, is the next day off UAE 2022. Eid Al-Adha is set to begin on Saturday, July 9. Hence the next long weekend comes from July 9 to 12. Following that, on Saturday, July 30, the Islamic New Year will take place.

On Saturday, October 8, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) celebrates his birthday. It trails by Commemoration Day on December 1 and UAE National Day on December 2 to 3. All UAE official holidays are subject to confirmation closer to the day.
