The streamlined process begins with officiants’ availability and automated medical examination results accessible to users. The elimination of traditional paper documentation is a noteworthy feature as the documents are digitally authenticated, complete with a unique contract number. This digital transformation aims to make the marriage procedure more efficient and accessible for the residents of Abu Dhabi.

Since its initiation in October 2022, the ADJD has processed approximately 7,000 digital marriage contracts, revolutionizing the entire procedure, including virtual marriage sessions conducted through video conferencing. The digital contract, authenticated with a digital signature, can be conveniently shared through official channels. This not only aligns with the vision of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan but also positions Abu Dhabi’s judicial framework on the global stage.

Once approved, applicants can finalize procedures electronically, choosing between an in-person or video-call marriage session through the appointment booking system.
