This trend has therefore unveiled a new type of traveller in the UAE, called Celebration Vacationers. In fact, data by Skyscanner also revealed that several destinations have emerged as top choices for group trips amongst UAE travellers.

Skyscanner is a global travel app and it has shed some light on an emerging travel type in the UAE. Yes, ahead of the Eid al-Fitr 2024 holidays, it has shown that there is a rise of Celebration Vacationers. Additionally, the increase in this traveller type within the travel industry has stemmed from their desire to create lasting memories. As a result, some of the most breathtaking locations across the world are often top choices for people.

The data revealed that Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Thailand are among the top choices for group trips among UAE travellers. Moreover, 72% of UAE travellers embarked on group trips to celebrate birthdays or anniversaries. Additionally, 23% have expressed a keen interest in taking in such celebratory journies in the future.

There Are Some Challenges In Group Vacations

However, travellers in the UAE are facing several challenges while organising vacations for large groups. According to the data revealed by Skyscanner, it shows that 42% of the respondents struggled to decide on the destination as a primary obstacle. However, 42% also expressed concerns about the trip’s cost, while 41% reported difficulties when it came to the agreement on suitable travel dates. In fact, 36% expressed their uncertainty about how and where to effectively communicate with their travel group.
