1. ITC Abu Dhabi Announces Prohibition Of Bus Movement On This Route

ITC Abu Dhabi recently released a notification regarding the prohibition of bus traffic movement on Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street. This will be from the Sheikh Zayed Bridge to the Sheikh Zayed Tunnel. Not to mention, this prohibition extends to buses of all sizes and types, light and heavy buses alike. Moreover, coming into effect on April 15th, it will be applicable on either direction of the road, 24 hours a day. However, school buses, public transport buses, and buses with access to work sites in the area are exempted.

2. Emirates To Return To Phnom Pehn

Emirates recently took to its official account on X to announce that it’s returning to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. Yes, returning on May 1 with daily flights, these will be via Singapore. For those who’re wondering, this beautiful destination is renowned for its historical architecture and attractions.

3. Ramadan In Dubai Campaign Concludes On A Successful Note

It was announced on April 5, that the #RamadanInDubai campaign has come to an end on a high note. Yes, the month-long celebration of the holy month is an initiative by the Dubai Media Council. Not to mention, it was launched under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council.

Now a new campaign, #EidInDubai has been launched, offering opportunities for people to create treasured holiday memories with their loved ones.

4. Dubai Municipality Hosts Collective Iftar

Recently Dubai Municipality took to its official account on X to showcase a heartwarming video. In this video, several employees can be seen sitting down for a collective iftar. Taking place in the presence of Dawoud Al Hajri, Director General of the Dubai Municipality, the buffet was for domestic workers. Yes, and it included both employees and department heads!

5. Free Parking Announced In Sharjah

On Friday, April 5, it was announced that public parking will be free in Sharjah. This will be valid on the first, second and third day of Eid al-Fitr. However, it’s worth noting that charges will be applicable in the parking zones that have blue signboards. As such, these spaces are subject to charges every day of the week. This includes Fridays and public holidays.
