Udaipur; The City Of Lakes!

The Rajasthan government is currently taking a lot of steps and actions to help Udaipur become the first wetland city in our country. If you have been to Udaipur, you surely have seen so many lakes during your trip. There’s a reason why this Rajasthan city is known as the City of Lakes. The Environment and Forest Department has selected Udaipur according to the Ramsar Convention of International Importance, as stated in a report by The Times of India. The city is a part of the central government’s restoration project of the National Lakes Conservation Plan. The concerned departments are now passing the city nomination to the Ramsar Convention for approval.

Another Indian City Is On The Run As Well

In India, Udaipur and Bhopal are running to get the incredible recognition of the first wetland city of India. There are some significance and criteria of this tag and all these can help a city to win the recognition. The best part is that Udaipur has all that is needed to become a wetland city.
