The bizarre video of a man hitting a parking lot barrier is circulating on the Internet. He was identified to be a pilot of  United Airlines. And the parking lot barrier was of the Denver International Airport. But what caused a man to strike the barrier 23 times with an axe?

United Airlines Pilot Strikes Parking Lot Barrier With An Axe!

A United Airlines pilot was caught on tape destroying a barrier gate with an axe at a parking area for airport employees at Denver International Airport. According to the officials, he claimed to have broken the barrier because he just hit his breaking point.

63-year-old Kenneth Henderson Jones is seen carrying an axe in a video, of an incident which took place on August 2. He is seen heading towards the exit gate of an employee parking lot. After more than 20 swings, the parking arm of the gate finally snapped off its hinge, allowing the exit to remain open.

He managed to get through the barrier and try to leave the area, but an airport employee was able to stop him and take the axe away from him. The pilot then fled into a nearby field, where Denver police arrested him.

When the pilot subsequently informed a deputy that around six automobiles were positioned behind each of the parking lot’s three exit gates, he went to his parked car and got an axe to aid the drivers in escaping.

A police report stated that Kenneth claimed that he had reached his breaking point and that he was trying to get rid of issues for everyone waiting. Mr Jones was prosecuted by Adams County officials with misdemeanour criminal mischief but later that day was released. On September 25, he is due to appear in Adams County Court for an arraignment.

Additionally, the pilot has been taken off of United’s itinerary while the business conducts an internal inquiry. According to CBS News, the pilot is believed to have caused $700 worth of damages, which equals to ₹58,000.

Mr Jones is certified to fly a variety of big passenger aircraft, including the Boeing 767 and 757, according to FAA records.
