Govind Yadav, a youth from UP’s Bhadohi city, is cycling with the tricolour to Mumbai, to spread awareness to save water and urge people to reduce the wastage of water. On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, he will be visiting Lord Ganesha’s murti in Lalbaug, to offer ‘gangajal’ and will pray that our country, and any other nation in the world never has to see a water crisis.

Through his ‘Jal Bachao Abhiyan’ he has been proudly spreading the word in nearby schools and colleges in UP. He is on a mission to make sure that the people of the county understand the importance of water and avoid wasting it. Govind wants to deliver a message that there is a lot of water in our country and it needs to be used with utmost care.
In a Facebook video, Govind is seen saying, “The companies that are selling bottled water for ₹ 30-40 now, will soon take advantage of the water crisis and sell it for ₹300-400. Water will be sold at a higher rate than diesel and petrol by the government.”

He also talks about the smooth journey he has had and that people of Maharashtra have been very kind to him. Govind’s efforts were recognised by the authorities in Lakhnadon, Madhya Pradesh as well. He is an inspiration to all of us today and let’s do our bit of saving water and spreading his message.
